Terms of Service
Last updated: 18 June 2026
These Terms govern your use of the Navisual desktop application and the navisualguide.com website (together, the “Service”). By installing or using Navisual, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the Service.
1. What Navisual does
Navisual observes your active window and gives you step-by-step, on-screen guidance — it points at where to click and narrates the next step. It never clicks, types, or takes control of your computer. Every action is performed by you.
2. AI guidance is not guaranteed — verify before you act
Navisual’s guidance is generated by AI models, which can be wrong, incomplete, or out-of-date. You are responsible for reviewing each suggested step before you perform it. Do not rely on Navisual for actions that are irreversible, financial, legal, medical, or safety-critical without independent verification. The Service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Navisual to:
- break any law or infringe anyone’s rights;
- capture, process, or extract another person’s private information without authorization;
- use the Service on applications or screens containing proprietary, highly confidential, or trade-secret data of your employer or another organization without that organization’s authorization;
- reverse-engineer the hosted services or attempt to bypass quota, billing, or security;
- resell or redistribute the managed AI tier as your own service.
Because the managed and bring-your-own-key tiers send a screenshot of your active window to a third-party AI provider to answer your request, you are responsible for ensuring you have the right to share whatever is visible on your screen before asking for guidance. If your organization restricts sharing its data with external services, do not point Navisual at those applications without authorization. To work fully offline with no data leaving your machine, use the local Ollama provider.
The Navisual source is available under FSL-1.1-Apache-2.0; your use of the source code is governed by that license.
4. Accounts
The free tier signs you in anonymously — no account needed. To buy coins you sign in with Google, which upgrades your existing anonymous profile in place. You’re responsible for activity under your account. We may suspend accounts that violate these Terms.
5. Coins, payments & refunds
- Coins are prepaid credits denominated in US dollars (1 coin = $0.20), used to pay for managed-tier AI requests. The per-request price depends on the tier you select and is shown in the app.
- Purchases are processed by Stripe, which acts as the merchant of record and is responsible for collecting and remitting applicable sales tax/VAT. Prices are in USD unless stated; tax may be added at checkout.
- Coins do not expire.
- Non-refundable. Because coins are a digital credit delivered immediately, purchases are non-refundable except where required by law. If you are an EU/UK consumer, you may have a statutory withdrawal right; by purchasing and beginning to use coins you request immediate delivery and acknowledge this may end that right once coins are used. Contact us about any payment you believe was charged in error.
- Pricing may change. We may change tier prices going forward; coins you already hold keep their dollar value.
- Free tier. The free request allowance is provided as-is and may change or end at any time.
6. Third-party services
The Service relies on third parties — AI providers (Anthropic, Google, OpenAI, DeepSeek, Qwen, OpenRouter, or your local Ollama), Stripe for payments, Supabase for accounts, and Microsoft for optional voice transcription. Your use of those features is also subject to the respective providers’ terms. We’re not responsible for third-party services’ availability or output.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Navisual and its maintainer will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from actions you took based on the Service’s guidance. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim, or US$20.
8. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time and uninstall the app. We may suspend or end the managed services, in whole or in part, with or without notice. Unused coins remain usable while the managed tier is available; if we permanently discontinue paid service, we will provide a reasonable way to use or be credited for an unused balance.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and you agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in British Columbia, except where local consumer-protection law gives you other rights.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms; we’ll revise the “last updated” date and, for material changes, provide notice in the app or on this site. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
